Storage metadata

Cleezi scans file and folder metadata locally, including names, paths, sizes, timestamps, and access information. Relevant candidate metadata and examples are sent to our analysis service and DeepSeek to generate recommendations. File contents are not uploaded by the storage analysis workflow.

Paths and file names can contain personal information. Start cloud analysis only when you agree to this processing and are authorized to share the metadata. Analysis reports and scan files are also saved locally on your device.

Microsoft Store subscription information

Microsoft handles subscription payment, taxes, receipts, renewals, cancellations, and refunds. Cleezi receives a Store-generated purchase credential and subscription status so our service can verify access to paid features. We retain a hashed ownership identifier and analysis usage records to provide the subscription, prevent abuse, and respond to support requests. We do not receive your full payment card number, security code, or Microsoft account password.

You can review or manage the subscription through your Microsoft account. Microsoft processes payment information under its own privacy notice and terms.

Service location and retention

The current analysis service is hosted in mainland China. Requests are also processed by DeepSeek under its own policies. This may involve processing outside your country of residence.

Server response caches expire after 24 hours and are removed by scheduled maintenance. Analysis usage records are retained for up to 90 days, and server sessions expire after two hours. Local reports remain until you remove them. Microsoft and DeepSeek may retain information according to their own policies.

Purchase records and processing purposes

Subscription entitlement records are kept while needed to provide and restore access. Payment, refund, and support records may be retained after a subscription ends where needed to resolve disputes, prevent fraud, or meet accounting and legal obligations. You can contact us for information about your records or to request deletion of records that do not need to be retained.

We process entitlement and support information to perform the service contract; use operational and abuse-prevention records for our legitimate interests in maintaining a secure service; retain legally required records to meet legal obligations; and obtain consent where required for cloud analysis. We do not sell your personal information or use scan metadata for advertising.

Support and website visits

If you email us, we use your email address, message, and any purchase or diagnostic details you choose to provide to answer your request. Avoid sending passwords, payment card details, or file contents that are not needed for support.

Our web server processes ordinary request information, such as IP address, requested URL, and browser information, to deliver the site and diagnose faults. This portal has no advertising trackers, account login, or checkout cookies.

Your choices and rights

You can stop analysis, avoid starting cloud analysis, delete local reports, and uninstall the app. Email us to request access, correction, or deletion of records we hold. We may need purchase details to locate a record and verify the request. Records required by law may need to be retained.

The website and app are intended for people who can consent to the processing and purchase terms applicable in their jurisdiction.

Policy changes

We will update this policy when data handling changes. Material changes to the published launch data flow will be disclosed before collecting that information. The date at the top identifies the current version.
